Whistler Irrigation Services Ltd. respects the privacy of clients, prospective clients and website visitors. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, how we protect it and how you can ask questions or request access or correction.

Information we collect

We may collect information that you provide through our website forms, by email, by telephone or during the delivery of services. This can include your name, email address, telephone number, property or service address, local contact information, invoicing details, service requirements and the contents of correspondence with us.

Our website and spam-prevention services may also process limited technical information needed to operate and protect the forms, such as network, browser, device and verification information.

Why we collect and use information

We collect and use personal information only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate, including:

• responding to inquiries and service requests;
• creating or updating client and property records;
• preparing estimates, scheduling and delivering irrigation services;
• communicating about service work, seasonal programs and property requirements;
• invoicing, payment administration and accounting;
• maintaining service history and meeting legal, safety and business obligations; and
• protecting our website and forms from spam, abuse and unauthorized activity.

We do not sell personal information.

Website operation and service providers

We use service providers where reasonably necessary to host and protect the website, deliver form submissions and communicate with clients. Our website host may process limited technical information required to serve and secure the site. Postmark processes email submissions and delivery. When enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile may process verification and limited technical information to help protect forms from automated abuse.

We disclose personal information to service providers only as reasonably necessary for those services. Information may be processed in other jurisdictions and may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law.

Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain appropriate client and property records, resolve questions and meet accounting, legal and other business obligations. When information is no longer reasonably required, it is securely destroyed or anonymized in accordance with applicable requirements.

Safeguards

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No online or email system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we limit access and use service providers intended to support secure delivery and operation.

Access, correction and privacy questions

You may ask about the personal information we hold, request access or correction, make a privacy complaint, or ask whether information can be deleted. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, safety, warranty or legitimate business purposes.

We will review and respond to privacy questions and complaints in accordance with applicable British Columbia privacy requirements.
