Modern controllers can adjust to weather on their own. What they cannot do is understand your property — its slopes, exposure, plantings, soil and history.
Our monitoring program pairs internet-connected controller technology with professional oversight. We program each zone using plant water requirements, precipitation rates and site conditions, then supervise performance throughout the season — adjusting remotely as weather, landscape and property conditions change.
This supports healthier landscapes, more efficient water use and fewer surprises: scheduling and communication irregularities are identified and addressed by someone accountable, often before they would otherwise be noticed.

Remote supervision and adjustment
We review controller behaviour through the season and make remote programming corrections for heat waves, storms, new plantings, fertilization and changing site conditions — usually without a service visit.
Irregularity response
Communication faults and power interruptions can be flagged through the connected controller. Where compatible flow-monitoring equipment and sensors are installed, unusual flow and certain operating faults may also generate alerts. We investigate available alerts, correct issues remotely where possible, and dispatch a technician who already knows the property when hands-on work is required.
Available alerts depend on controller compatibility, connectivity and the monitoring hardware installed at the property.
Monitored vs. self-operated
The difference is who carries responsibility.
A self-operated controller leaves the homeowner responsible for noticing and responding to scheduling or communication problems — often from another city or after landscape stress becomes visible.
Monitored clients delegate that responsibility to us. Whistler and Pemberton conditions change quickly: a week of heat, a storm, a power interruption or a landscaping change can each undermine a schedule that was correct in May. Monitoring keeps the program aligned with the property all season, and pairs naturally with our full-service management, startup and winterization programs.
